This album was recorded In the autumn of 2014, when Spectra was turning 10. Evolutionary Walk is his second album, after Low Tide. All songs were written by Spectra, except Vines, which was co-written with Hallie and Hannah.

Spectra played guitar, ukulele, drums, percussion and bass and sang vocals on all tracks. Spectra's mom played keyboards on Thanksgiving and Empire Night and melodion on Can't See The Sound. Eamon played xylophone on the bonus track, Nov2.
